Responsibilities

This board is an advisory board that assists the Parks Division of Public Works. The board provides support, ideas, educational and environmental programs and events to engage the citizens of Derby in our park system. The board's goal is to provide great recreational facilities and green spaces for our active community.

The board also acts as the Tree Board, which deals with environmental issues and our urban forestry needs. This is an excellent board if you are an active user of the city's park and recreational systems. The board members are involved and should be available to participate in a variety of community celebrations, including Arbor Day, Tree Lighting, and others.
