Derby’s water customer service employees at the front desk in City Hall are here to help. We are the one group of employees who interact with all Derby residents and businesses. Whether we talk to you on the phone, in person or via email, we want to answer your questions and help you with any water issues you may experience.
Something we discuss daily is the different ways to pay your water bill. We have a variety of options to meet your needs.
The best way to pay is to sign up for the Auto Pay Plan, which requires you to have a zero balance and a voided blank check. Sign up for this option in person at City Hall (Mon.-Thurs. 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Fri. 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.) or print the form online at DerbyKS.com/water and mail it to us along with a voided check. You may also drop your check off at the City Hall Drop Box available 24 hours a day.
We also offer a paperless billing option, which means all bills, notices and the Derby News are sent to your email address. To enroll, fill out the Paperless Billing form at DerbyKS.com/water or stop by City Hall to sign up. Currently, we have more than 1,900 customers taking advantage of this option. Thank you! You help the City save money on printing and postage costs.
You can always drop your payment in the mail or pay online at MunicipalOnlinePayments.com/derbyks for a $1.25 processing fee. You can schedule future or recurring payments through the website.
Free ways to pay your water bill include paying in person at City Hall, 611 Mulberry Rd. We accept cash, check or cards. You may pay over the phone by calling 788-1424. We accept credit or debit card payments.
If you happen to forget to pay your water bill, you will receive an automated phone call. If the call is not successful, we send an email if we have one on file. If not, you will receive a late notice in the mail.
To help us keep your records up to date, could you take a minute to call us at 788-1424 to update your account information or visit DerbyKS.com/water to fill out an online form to make updates? If a problem with your water service arises, we want to be able to reach you quickly.
