[ARCHIVED] Derby Chip Site Hours Change

Chip Site

Attention gardeners and yard enthusiasts! Extended seasonal hours for the Derby Chip Site are now in effect. 

The Chip Site, located in the northwest corner of High Park, 2801 E. James, is available for Derby residents to dispose of tree limbs and branches (10 inches in diameter or less) and for residents to pick up free mulch. Between April and October, the Chip Site is open from 7:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

Please remember:

  • You must live within the City of Derby city limits to use the Chip Site.
  • Littering or illegal dumping at the site is not allowed. Trash, grass clippings and other yard or construction debris is prohibited. Those who litter may face fines up to $1,000.
  • The chip site is closed on all city holidays, the Saturday following holidays that city offices are closed, and on large event weekends (Derby BBQ & Music Festival).
