Burlington Northern Santa Fe has postponed the closure of the Kay Street railroad crossing for work in the railroad’s right of way. The crossing was scheduled to close on Jan. 21 for four weeks, but will happen at a later date which should be announced soon.
During the closure, two-way traffic will be allowed on Kay Street west of Buckner and on Water Street between Washington and Kay St. All other railroad crossings will remain open.
Work is being done as part of the Kay and Water Street reconstruction project. Learn more at DerbyKS.com/KayandWater.
