Based on new information and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the past 24 hours, Derby Municipal Court has cancelled regular court sessions through April 9, 2020 for all non-critical cases.
Cases such as DUI, domestic battery, sentencings and in-custody cases will remain on the docket. Cases with attorney representation will be handled on a case-by-case basis. All other cases set for appearance on March 19 are being continued to April 23, 2020.
Staff is working to notify those with a current address and phone number on file of their next scheduled appearance. In some circumstances, appearances may be handled over the phone without appearing in person. Anyone with questions regarding their appearance should call Derby Municipal Court at 788-1511 for instructions.
Anyone scheduled to report for probation or diversion before April 16, 2020 is asked to report by phone by calling 788-1511.
