  • Sunflower Peaceful Massage: $11,254
  • Tails & Scales Pet Shop: $11,430
  • The UPS Store: $11,430
  • Xtreme Tanning: $11,430

“We are happy to assist these local businesses through this difficult time,” said Mayor Randy White. “I encourage everyone to make a point of doing business with Derby shops instead of shopping online or out of town. They need us all to ensure they are still here next year.”

The grant program was made available through Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) funds. The purpose of the program is to provide communities with funding to help local businesses impacted by COVID-19 to retain jobs for low-to-moderate income people. Businesses will use the grant funds to cover working capital expenses such as inventory, wages, and utilities. Businesses were required to apply for the grant, meet certain eligibility requirements, and provide documentation in order to be awarded funds.

If you have questions about the grant program, contact Kiel Mangus, Deputy City Manager, at kielmangus@derbyweb.com or 788-1519 ext. 1273.
