Northwest corner of High Park - north of ball field parking lot.

From Rock Road and James travel east on James approximately 3/4 mile to the park entrance roundabout.

Hours of Operation

April-October
Monday thru Friday, 7:15 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
Every Saturday, 8 a.m.-noon (except for holiday weekends - Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.)

What is Allowed

Tree trunks/limbs up to 10 inches. Grass clippings, leaves, and thorny brush will not be accepted.

Please do not dump limbs when the Chip Site is closed. And remember, this is not a dump site for unwanted items, the city only accepts tree limbs.

The Chip Site is a service offered to Derby residents only. Free mulch is available for use by Derby residents as well. Mulch may be picked up during regular operating hours.

Tree Recycle

During the holiday season, the City offers recycling for Christmas trees. This event generally begins the week of Christmas and lasts through the second week of January.
