The Derby Dash, Derby’s local transportation systems, offers affordable local transportation for all those who reside in the Derby city limits. It began operation in April 2007.

Friday

School Hours (August 16-May 14)
Monday-Friday
7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Fridays when school is not in session - 7:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Reservations are taken Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Advance notice of at least 24 hours is required. The service area encompasses Derby and covers 8.26 square miles and includes a total population of more than 22,000.
Rates
$2 for each one-way ride and $4 for a round-trip ride.
A ride card must be purchased to ride the bus. They are available in increments of $5, $10 and $20 and can be purchased at the Senior Center or City Hall, both located at 611 Mulberry, and at both Derby Dillons locations.
The Derby Dash was made possible thanks to a grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation (through the Wichita Transit Authority).
Dash Around Derby Summer Ride Card
Do you like to read, swim, watch movies, work out or just hang out with friends? If so, buy a Dash Around Derby Summer Ride Card, good for transportation to the Derby Library, Derby Plaza Theater, Rock River Rapids, Derby Recreation Center or the Derby Senior Center.
The summer ride card is $15 ride card and good for 10 rides. Cards may be purchased at each location listed above, both Derby Dillons stores, and City Hall. For more information, call 788-RIDE.
Mission
The mission of the Derby Dash is to provide safe, accessible and affordable transportation to all citizens who reside in the city limits of Derby, in order to enhance access to programs, services and activities which will improve their quality of life and help maintain their choice of lifestyle.
