Online Community Videos Coming Soon

The City of Derby is excited to announce the development of streaming internet videos on the Derby Community Portal website, www.derbyks.com. Videos will highlight various aspects of Derby’s quality of life, and will be provided to the city at no cost thanks to a program with Rochester, New York-based CGI Communications. CGI works in partnership with the United States Conference of Mayors and numerous municipal leagues, and will produce several videos highlighting topics that will include recreation, education, economic development, and relocation.
Community groups and area businesses will be offered the opportunity to participate in sponsorship of the program, having 30 to 60 second videos produced highlighting their own organization. These videos will also be available on the community portal website.
The creation of the videos is anticipated to be complete by the Spring of 2009, and will be available for viewing at www.derbyks.com at that time. For more information, contact Allison Moeding, Economic Development Director, at 316-788-3081.
