Performance Measures
Performance measurements are standards used by cities to help measure the effectiveness of services they provide. Good performance measures help the city improve efficiencies, justify resources, and be responsive to citizen priorities. An example of a performance measurement standard is the amount of time it takes for a fire department to respond to a call. Tracking results for local priorities helps the city evaluate and improve its services.

Every other fall, the City mails 400 surveys to a random selection of addresses, with 100 surveys mailed to each of the four election wards. From 2008 to 2013, annual surveys were performed. Beginning in 2015, the survey will be every other year.
