Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks - CANCELED

The City's Independence Day Celebration has been canceled due to wet conditions at High Park.

Because High Park flooded overnight on June 3 and will be saturated on Monday morning when the fireworks crew has to set up, the public display and all related activities planned for High Park (food trucks, ice cream social, etc.) are canceled. The event relies on grass areas for parking cars and public seating, and those areas will be very muddy. Consideration will be given to rescheduling, and an announcement will be made later once determined.
