The Finance Department is responsible for duties crucial to efficient and effective delivery of local government services. While many of these functions take place behind the scene, they are fundamental to the smooth operation of other departments.

Megan Sneller serves as the Director of Finance, with responsibility for basic governmental functions such as debt management.

The Accounting division coordinates payroll, accounts payable and receivable, water and sewer utility billing, monthly accounting, budget preparation, and purchasing activities. The city follows all Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) in order to provide prudent management of public funds.

Another area of oversight includes risk management, which is centralized in order to protect city assets against property liability and loss.
