Role of the Accounting Division

The Accounting Division coordinates payroll, accounts payable and receivable, water and sewer utility billing, monthly accounting, budget preparation, and purchasing activities. The city follows all Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) in order to provide prudent management of public funds.

Other areas of this department include risk management, which is centralized in order to protect city assets against property liability and loss.
