2023 Street Rehabilitation Program
The Street Maintenance Division is responsible for the maintenance of more than 430 lane miles of streets, alleys, and other access ways. Also important are the 284 miles of curb and gutter found inside the city limits, along with more than 28 miles of hike and bike paths and trail systems.
Other duties of this division include inspection and maintenance of 4,673 signs, monitoring of 45 signaled intersections and school crossings, pavement markings, hanging light pole banners, support for community events, and snow and ice removal.
Other divisions, such as the Metal Fabrication and Sign and Signal shops, assist Public Works crews in managing facilities and equipment, as well as providing services to other internal customers, including USD 260 and the Derby Recreation Commission.
