Sewer & Water Line Protection Program Available to Residents

Derby homeowners have an optional program available to them provided through the National League of Cities (NLC) Service Line Warranty Program administered by Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA). The Service Line Warranty program provides low cost, worry-free warranty protection for sewer and water lines.

The Service Line Warranty program offers residents an affordable way to avoid the unexpected and often large expense involved with a sewer or water line break. When a line breaks, the cost to repair it can often cause hardship on a family’s budget. This program offer warranty protection to help cover the costs of a break.

City of Derby residents will receive offers for the sewer and water line warranty from SLWA in their mail boxes. The discounted cost for residents who choose to purchase the water line warranty protection is $6.08 per month, and the sewer line warranty protection is $6.58 per month. Both cover line repairs up to $8,500 plus an additional allowance of $500 for public sidewalk cutting, if needed.

SLWA provides a 24-hour repair hotline for its customers and uses only local, certified technicians.
